Police are responding to a serious collision on the Christchurch Southern Motorway near Rolleston at 5.45pm this evening.
It appears one person is in a serious condition.
The Southbound lane is completely blocked and diversions are in place at Weedons Road Overbridge.
Motorists are advised to expect delays.
