Further arrest made in Sofitel shooting investigation

Attribute to Detective Inspector John Sutton, NZ Police:

Police have made another arrest in relation to the Sofitel Hotel firearms incident in April.

A 26-year-old man who was being sought by Police in relation to this incident was arrested today.

He has been charged in relation to being a party to the discharge of a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and participating in an organised crime group.

He will be appearing in the Auckland District Court today.

Enquiries are ongoing and Police are not ruling out further arrests.
