Police can now confirm the remains located on Richardson’s Line in Palmerston North last week have been formally identified as missing man Bir Poudyel.
Mr Poudyel, 69, was reported missing from his Milson home in October last year.
Police extend their sympathies to Mr Poudyel’s family at this difficult time.
