Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on Great North Road in Glen Eden.
The crash was reported at 2.40pm.
One person has died at the scene.
Three other people have moderate injuries and are being transported to hospital.
Cordons are being put in place on Great North Road at the intersections of Hepburn Road and Glenview Road.
The cordons will be in place for some time and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
The Serious Crash Unit has been notified.
