After last year’s cancelled season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the kick-off of the SAS Fox Memorial Premiership Qualifiers this Saturday will be welcome news for rugby league fans across the country.

The 2021 first division starts with a bumper match between arch-rivals – and last year’s two top teams at the point of cancellation – Mt Albert and Pt Chevalier, a game which will be shown live on Sky Sport 4 (livestreamed matches on aucklandleague.co.nz will start from Round 2).

The Stormont Shield champion of champions trophy will be on the line too, adding to what is already an intriguing clash.
