The minimum wage has increased today with effect from 1 April 2021.

The adult minimum wage increased from $18.90 to $20.00 per hour.

The starting-out and training minimum wage increased from $15.12 to $16.00 per hour.

As an employer, you need to ensure your payroll systems and processes have been updated.

All employers and employees should also take note of the minimum wage changes, as it sets a new relative benchmark for pay negotiations.
