Smallest
annual food price increase in over 18 months – Media release

Annual food prices increased 1.2 percent
in February 2021 which is the smallest annual increase since July 2019
when food prices increased 0.9 percent, Stats NZ said today.
This 1.2 percent increase was boosted by
higher prices for eating out for lunch and some ethnic foods, such as Thai
and Indian.
