Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on SH1, Moerewa, between Taumatamakuku Settlement Road and Whangae Road.
Police were called about 9.45pm.
Initial reports suggest there have been injuries.
The road is closed and diversions will be in place.
Motorists should avoid the area, if possible.
