Police can now release the name of the man who died following a crash on Western Lake Road on 28 January 2021.
He was Godwell Mahowa, aged 58, from Lower Hutt.
Police extend their sympathies to his family and friends.
Enquiries into the circumstances of the crash are ongoing.
