Tourism New Zealand’s strategy, long-term focus and updates on domestic and international campaigns were the focus of recent events held in Auckland, Christchurch, Queenstown, Wellington and Rotorua.

Over 800 industry representatives attended the events, either in person or online – the first time the Roadshows have been held as hybrid events.

Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED), ChristchurchNZ, Destination Queenstown, WellingtonNZ and Rotorua Economic Development provided regional perspectives and guest presenters from the Tourism Futures Taskforce gave insights into their work to date. A panel including all speakers, and a representative from the Department of Conservation and a local operator welcomed questions from the audience focusing on the future of tourism.
