Police have carried out 23 search warrants across Auckland this morning following an investigation by the Financial Crime Group into money laundering and related offending.
Seven people have been arrested and approximately $6 million in assets have been restrained including houses, apartments and luxury vehicles.
Media are invited to a media conference at the front of the Auckland City Police Station at College Hill, where Detective Superintendent Iain Chapman will be available to speak to media at 2.30pm.
Media are requested to arrive early to allow for set up.
Note – footage of today’s search warrants and restrained assets will be available to supply to media later this afternoon.
