The New Zealand Taxpayer’s Union congratulates Judith Collins and Gerry Brownlee on their selection as Leader and Deputy Leader of the National Party and says that taxpayers will be encouraged by her indications of support for lower taxes and efficient government under her leadership. Taxpayers’ Union spokesperson Louis Houlbrooke says:“We congratulate Judith Collins and Gerry Brownlee on their new roles. We will be engaging with them in the run up to the election to make sure the taxpayers’ voice is heard in Parliament. As we look to recover our economy from the shock of COVID-19, we need our political leaders to outline strategies to bring our economy back to growth, and the Government books back to surplus.”
