Police investigate damage to Wanaka Tree

Wanaka Police are investigating a report of vandalism after a tree at Lake Wanaka was damaged this week.

The tree, a local tourist attraction at Roys Bay, was discovered damaged early on 18 March with several large branches having been removed without authorisation.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have information about this incident, or anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area overnight on Tuesday 17 March.
