This DNA Discovery event is the first of a series of three to be held by Auckland Libraries and proudly sponsored by – Ancestry.com.au, The Patient Genie, Wellington Research Services and Memories in Time.

DNA evidence helps us break through brick walls and confirm decades of research, while introducing an entirely new generation of people to genealogy. Join author and DNA specialist Blaine T Bettinger as he explores using DNA in a case study identifying the mother of his adopted great-grandmother, born Helen Marley Johnson.

Although no single record identifies who her mother was, a combination of indirect evidence and DNA testing makes the case.

Booking is highly recommended.
