Two-day forum explores AI, the agentic economy and the tokenisation landscape, unveiling new global capital trends

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 November 2026 – Cyberport Venture & Capital Forum (CVCF) 2026 successfully concluded its two-day event, recording over 600+ deal flows. Centered on the theme “Scaling in a Changing World: Winning the Next Competitive Cycle”, Cyberport’s annual flagship forum convened over 2800+ attendees and over 200,000+ online views. The forum facilitated direct engagement between international investors and high-growth technology enterprises through founder pitch sessions, structured investor matching, startup clinics, and innovation showcases. Industry leaders and global investors exchanged critical market intelligence on emerging cross-border opportunities, capital strategies, and scalable enterprise models. The forum also served as a premier platform for exploring next-generation technology solutions, highlighting advances in agentic AI, tech infrastructure transformation, and asset tokenisation.

The spotlight event of CVCF, the “Agentic Economy Summit“, featured a keynote speech by Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury of the HKSAR Government, with welcome remarks from Dr Rocky Cheng, CEO of Cyberport.

Joseph Chan, Under Secretary for Financial Services & the Treasury, stated in his speech, “Digital Assets are redefining how value moves across the global economy. Hong Kong is not merely observing this transformation; we are actively leading and architecting it. The Blockchain & Digital Asset Pilot Subsidy Scheme launched by Cyberport last year received an encouraging response, with more than half of the shortlisted projects already successfully commercialised. Building on this momentum, the FSTB has commissioned Cyberport to launch Scheme 2.0 to foster collaboration between technology companies and enterprises, accelerating the development and adoption of innovative solutions in real-world asset tokenisation, blockchain and digital assets. We will continue working closely with the industry to build a trusted, sustainable and vibrant digital asset ecosystem.”

Dr Rocky Cheng, CEO of Cyberport, stated in his speech, “Agentic AI is evolving from workplace assistants to autonomous entities that transact and decide on our behalf, accelerating the agentic economy from a vision into reality. We must confront three core questions: how to anchor trust when autonomous agents transact; how to take stablecoins and tokenised assets from pilot to scale; and where the human edge endures as AI drives execution costs toward zero. Hong Kong has already laid a solid foundation for the compliant issuance of stablecoins and tokenised assets. The next imperative is to drive their practical adoption across circulation, trading, collateralisation, and cross-border settlement. At the same time, the One-Person Companies (OPC) model is redefining entrepreneurship, unlocking unprecedented opportunities for young founders. Cyberport will continue to champion its role Serving as Hong Kong’s digital tech flagship and AI accelerator, Cyberport rallies talent, technology, capital, and market access to drive the Government’s I&T agenda and cement Hong Kong’s leadership in AI and digital assets.”

The Summit’s morning session examined how tokenised assets, HKD stablecoins and agentic AI are reshaping global financial infrastructure and business models. Key industry leaders shared their insights:

  • Dr Feng Xiao, Chairman & CEO of HashKey Group, delivered a keynote on rewiring identity, money and value on-chain, exploring the shift from basic tokenisation to a fully realised agentic economy.
  • Discus Fish, CEO & Co-founder of Cobo, shared how individuals can preserve a distinctly human edge in the age of intelligent agents by drawing on purpose and independent judgement.
  • Mr Wolf Ruzicka, Chief Commercial Officer of Unlimit, shared how a focused, use case-led approach to agentic AI can deliver measurable business value and enable scalable enterprise adoption.
  • Rachel Lee, Director of Blockchain & Digital Asset at Cyberport, and Michael Law, Senior Fintech Director at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), explored how Hong Kong is supporting the development of tokenisation.
  • Industry leaders from Anchorpoint, Finloop, HashKey Exchange, UBS, and more joined dynamic panel discussions on the next chapter of HKD stablecoins and the collaborative building of the agentic economy ecosystem.

The afternoon programme centred on agentic payment, institutional tokenisation, and OPCs, an emerging model in which AI agents enable lean entrepreneurial ventures to achieve unprecedented operational scale. Through fireside chats and panel discussions, leading industry figures gave investors and entrepreneurs a clearer view of future opportunities and of how frontier technologies such as agentic AI and digital assets can drive business growth. Highlights included:

  • Samuel Tse, Head of Investment & Corporate Finance at Animoca Brands, chaired a fireside chat alongside Reap and Pivota on navigating agentic commerce.
  • Expert panels featuring representatives from Visa, Ethereum Institutional, CSOP Asset Management, Payment Cards Group, Canton Foundation, Plume, FORMS HK, AWS Hong Kong, on unlocking the full value of tokenised assets and the future of money movement, and how OPCs is now a new, scalable form of entrepreneurship.

In addition, a series of start-up workshops offered practical guidance on securing capital and achieving sustainable growth amid rapid industry transformation, while addressing the new financing challenges of the agentic AI era to help founders seize opportunities in a fast-changing and highly competitive market.

Across the two days, CVCF 2026 featured over 80 physical booths and more than 100 virtual showcases, highlighting market-ready technologies and breakthrough innovations from Hong Kong and the broader region. The exhibition enabled start-ups to demonstrate their capabilities across enterprise AI, agentic systems, asset tokenisation and digital finance, while fostering strategic exchanges among industry leaders from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and international markets.

Building on Cyberport’s growing international footprint, CVCF 2026 also welcomed a record turnout of overseas delegations from Europe, the Americas and Asia, forging multi-regional partnerships and creating pathways for international start-ups to land, access capital and scale via Hong Kong.

3. After Reaching 7 Million Users in the Philippines, Skyro Launches Transparent Cash Loans in Malaysia

November 5, 2026

Source: Media Outreach

Skyro has operated in the Philippines since 2022, building a registered user base of more than 7 million and an active loan portfolio exceeding US$200 million. In September 2026, the company announced that it had secured approval from Malaysia’s Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) to provide online moneylending services. Malaysia is Skyro’s second market in Southeast Asia.

Skyro’s first Malaysian product offers new customers cash loans of up to RM1,000 (approximately US$250), with repayment terms of up to four months. The company plans to gradually increase borrowing limits for eligible customers, potentially reaching RM10,000 (approximately US$2,500), as it builds its local lending portfolio.

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 November 2026 – Skyro, a high-growth digital finance group that reached operational break-even in the Philippines just over three years after launching there, has introduced its first lending product in Malaysia. The company is starting with digital cash loans and hopes to expand its offering by introducing a product with an approved credit limit, potentially before the end of 2026.

The application process takes place entirely in the Skyro mobile app, without requiring a branch visit. Malaysian citizens with a valid MyKad and regular income can apply by verifying their identity and providing supporting income documents. Skyro assesses each application individually, taking into account the applicant’s income, existing financial commitments and credit history. Most applicants receive a decision within minutes, with approved funds transferred directly to their bank accounts.

Transparency is a central feature of the new product. Before signing the loan agreement, customers can review their approved loan amount, monthly installments, applicable fees and total repayment obligation, based on a fixed interest rate of 1.5% per month.

Arsen Liametov, co-founder and co-CEO of Skyro, said:

“For many people, financial needs don’t always arise at a convenient time. Whether someone needs to pay for home repairs or an unexpected expense, we want Malaysians to have another option to consider when they need short-term financing. But making credit available is only one part of our service. It’s equally important that customers understand what they’re borrowing, what it will cost and how they’ll repay it before making that decision.”

As its Malaysian business evolves, Skyro hopes to introduce a product with an approved credit limit by the end of 2026 that would enable customers to apply for subsequent loans more easily once they have established a repayment record with the lender. Skyro will use insights from its initial cash-loan offering to adapt future products to Malaysian consumers’ needs and borrowing habits as it works towards building a financial ecosystem.

The launch comes as Malaysia steps up efforts to tackle illegal moneylending, including unlicensed Ah Long lenders and fraudulent loan apps. For consumers with limited access to traditional bank credit, licensed digital cash loans and revolving credit lines can provide a safer, more transparent alternative, combining convenient access to financing with clear repayment terms and responsible lending practices.

6. Over 40% of Hong Kong Women Fall Below Well-being Benchmark – Mannings Wellness for Women x YWCA GenSHE to Bring Women’s Wellness Support into the Community

November 5, 2026

Source: Media Outreach

Mannings and YWCA Bring Professional Health Support to the Community

Over the coming year, Mannings and YWCA will organize more than 20 community outreach activities. Through health information, professional health assessments, personalized advice and interactive experiences, the programme will reach women from diverse backgrounds and life stages—making self-care more than a reminder, but a practical first step women can take in daily life.

Source: Media Outreach

More than 20 outreach activities over the coming year will support women who are “too busy to care for themselves”

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 November 2026 – Hong Kong women juggle multiple responsibilities every day, balancing work, family, and caregiving roles. While they are used to looking after the needs of those around them, their own physical and mental needs are often repeatedly postponed. Poor sleep, persistent fatigue, and emotional or physical changes are easily dismissed as “just being too busy” or “something that can be endured.” However, the body’s signals should not have to wait until red flags appear before they are noticed.

Mannings and YWCA Bring Professional Health Support to the Community

A survey conducted by the Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA) found that 40.6% of local women score below the well-being benchmark. Meanwhile, Mannings’ State of Health and Wellbeing Survey showed that sleep quality is the top health concern Hong Kong women would most like to improve, with 30% of female respondents across different life stages ranking better sleep as their primary health need. Together, these findings highlight that while women tirelessly meet the demands of work, family, and loved ones, they often lack the time and support to pause and attend to their own physical and mental state.
In response, Mannings has officially launched the “Mannings Wellness For Women” Campaign in partnership with YWCA “Project GenSHE“, which aims to groom a generation that cares for the spirit, health and energy of women. The collaboration aims to bring professional wellness support into the community and encourages women to start by recognizing their body’s signals, understanding their underlying needs, and seeking professional advice and suitable solutions at the right time.

Rooted in Women’s Everyday: Evolving Mannings from Retail Provider to Trusted Wellness Advisor

Mannings serves a large number of female customers every day and is supported by many female colleagues. It has observed that many women entering a store are primarily focused on their family’s needs: buying daily essentials for children, selecting health products for parents, or preparing necessities for family. However, when it comes to their own health, whether they have been feeling tired, sleeping well, or experiencing changes in their physical condition, they are often less likely to prioritize themselves.
Mannings believes that women are not indifferent to their own well-being; rather, they are accustomed to putting the needs of others first. Over time, their own body’s signals become the easiest to overlook. Therefore, the “Mannings Wellness For Women” Campaign extends the role from a provider of health and personal care products to a trusted, comprehensive wellness advisor for women and families across Hong Kong. Mannings’ professional health team—including pharmacists, registered Chinese medicine practitioners, registered dietitians and health ambassadors, beauty advisors and health ambassadors? health consultants —will combine health assessments, personalized advice and diversified product solutions to help woman better understand their individual health needs and access the support, that suits their needs.
Alex Liu, Managing Director of Mannings Hong Kong, Macau and China, said: “Every day, we see many women caring meticulously for their families, yet not always paying the same attention to their own well-being. What women need is not simply a reminder to ‘take care of yourself,’ but professional support that is close to daily life, easily accessible and responsive to individual needs. Mannings hopes to become a trusted comprehensive wellness advisor for women and every Hong Kong family—accompanying women from recognizing their body’s signals and understanding their needs, to finding the next step that is right for them.”
He added: “Today is not just an event; it is the beginning of Mannings turning its commitment into action. We hope to bring professional wellness support beyond our stores and into the community, so that more women know that when their body sends a signal, they do not have to guess alone or wait until they can no longer cope before seeking help.”

Mannings’ Professional Health Resources × HK YWCA’s Community Network Translate Shared Vision into Sustainable Action

The partnership between Mannings and YWCA is built on a shared vision: women, regardless of background, age or stage of life, should have access to health support that is close to everyday life and easy to reach, giving them more space and capacity to care for themselves.
YWCA has long been rooted in the community and understands the real-life circumstances and needs of women from different backgrounds. Mannings brings professional wellness expertise, health assessments, personalized advice and diversified wellness solutions. By combining their strengths, the two organizations aim to turn care for women into community action that is accessible, participatory and sustainable.
Over the coming year, Mannings will partner with YWCA to organize more than 20 outreach activities, bringing health information, assessments and professional advice closer to women who may not otherwise proactively access such resources.
Yvonne Yeung, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Young Women’s Christian Association, said: “Through our community work, we meet many women who devote themselves wholeheartedly to their families and careers while continuously supporting the people around them. Yet they are often the ones most likely to put their own needs last. This is not because women do not value their health, but because the demand of multiple roles and responsibilities, often leave them with very limited time and space to care for themselves.”
She continued: “YWCA and Mannings share a common vision: we hope women’s wellness support will go beyond simply providing information and instead genuinely reach women where they are, within their communities and daily lives. By combining YWCA’s understanding of women in the community with Mannings’ professional wellness resources, we hope more women will have the opportunity to pause, recognize their own state, and know whom they can turn to for support when needed.”

First Collaboration Begins with Better Sleep: Nearly 50 Community Women Temporarily Set Aside Roles and Dedicate an Afternoon to Themselves

As the first step of the collaboration, Mannings and YWCA held their inaugural community experience event on 1 November at the YWCA Jockey Club Social Service Building in Ho Man Tin. Nearly 50 women from the community were invited to temporarily set aside their roles at work, at home and as caregivers, and dedicate an afternoon to themselves through an immersive relaxation experience.
The collaboration began with “rest and sleep”. Sleep is a shared need among women of different ages and life stages and is often the first thing sacrificed in a busy life. Sleep is also closely linked to daytime energy, mood and overall physical and mental well-being, making it a practical starting point for women to begin listening to their body’s signals.

Grace Wong Shares Her Real-life Experience Across Multiple Roles

Akina Fong: Pursuing Others’ Stories, Learning to Listen to Our Own Bodies

The event featured a “Wellness Heart-to-Heart Talk” with Grace Wong, who balances the roles of mother, artiste and content creator; a community women’s representative; Mannings Chief Pharmacist Philip Chiu Kwok-leung; and Mannings Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner Wong Man-wai to discuss how women across different roles and life stages can notice body signals that may previously have been overlooked.
The talk was moderated by veteran media personality Akina Fong. Drawing on her experience as a media professional, she shared that she is accustomed to observing, listening to and exploring other people’s stories. Yet women also need to turn their attention to themselves and ask: “What has my body been trying to tell me lately?” Grace Wong also shared that while juggling family, work and content creation, women can easily put their own needs on hold time and again. She encouraged women not to feel guilty about taking time to rest, because looking after their own well-being does not mean neglecting others.
Mannings’ professional health team also reminded participants that listening to the body does not mean self-diagnosing. Women can start by observing the timing, frequency, duration and impact of their body’s signals on daily life, then seek appropriate professional advice based on their individual situation.
Philip Chiu Kwok-leung, Chief Pharmacist of Mannings, said: “Listening to the body does not mean diagnosing yourself. When the body repeatedly sends signals, women can first observe and record their own condition before consulting the appropriate professionals. The more clearly one can describe one’s situation, the easier it is to receive suitable support.
Wong Man-wai, Registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner at Mannings, said: “Sleep is not an isolated night-time issue—it can also reflect a person’s daily lifestyle rhythm and physical condition. Even when the concern is simply ‘not sleeping well,’ the underlying situation and needs can differ from one individual to another. It is important to understand a person’s overall condition before making appropriate adjustments.”

Immersive Sound Journey: Moving from “Knowing he Importancce of Rest” to Truly Taking a Pause

Beyond the dialogue and professional sharing, the event included a 45-minute immersive relaxation experience performed live by five musicians. Combining guided breathing with instrumental resonance, the session helped participants slow down in a calm environment, reconnect with their breath and become more aware of their body in the present moment.
The experience was designed not only to tell women that they need rest, but to give them a space where they could genuinely pause—temporarily setting aside daily roles and responsibilities and experiencing rest as an essential part of caring for body and mind.

The venue also offered a range of health consultation and assessment experiences, including Skin & Scalp Assessment, Chinese Wellness Consultation, Body Composition Analysis, and Cardiovascular and Stress

Index Assessments. Mannings’ Health Professional Team provided on-site consultations to help participants understand their results and individual needs, turning health assessments from a set of numbers into a starting point for better self-awareness.

Participants: Rediscover the Power of Self-Care

The event was warmly received. Accompanied by live music, participants gradually relaxed, stepped away from the day’s hustle and enjoyed a rare moment of calm and restoration.. A community women’s representative who joined the inaugural activity said: “In my daily life, I rush between work and family and often overlook signs of fatigue and sleep problems. This experience gave me a rare chance to put down my roles and responsibilities, focus on a moment of relaxation that belongs to me, and relearn how to listen to my body’s signals early and take better care of myself in daily life.”

Bringing Women’s Health Support Closer to the Community

This community event marked the first experience under the collaboration between the “Mannings Wellness for Women” Campaign and YWCA GenSHE, and serves as a starting point of a long-term partnership.

Over the coming year, the two organizations will progressively organize more than 20 community outreach activities. Through health workshops, professional health assessments, personalized advice and interactive experiences, more women from different backgrounds and life stages will be able to access practical, easily available wellness support in familiar community settings.

7. UstarPay announces custody arrangement with BitGo Bank & Trust for Real-World Crypto Payments

November 5, 2026

Source: Media Outreach

For UstarPay, this is a core part of building real-world crypto payment infrastructure. Card programs and payment flows must be fast enough for daily use, while also maintaining clear governance over customer assets, settlement records, and operational responsibilities.

To support this foundation, UstarPay has engaged BitGo Bank & Trust, National Association (“BitGo Bank & Trust”), an OCC-regulated digital asset trust bank and subsidiary of BitGo Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: BTGO) (“BitGo”), the digital asset infrastructure company,as the custodian for its digital assets holdings behind UstarPay’s digital asset payment and card infrastructure.

HONG KONG SAR – Media OutReach Newswire – 5 November 2026 – As digital assets move from investment holdings into everyday payment scenarios, the industry is entering a new stage of adoption. Speed and convenience are no longer enough. Users, partners, and compliance teams need to know how assets are held, how funds move, and how each transaction can be traced and verified.

About the Arrangement

BitGo’s custody infrastructure helps UstarPay reinforce customer fund security.

BitGo is a digital asset infrastructure company serving institutional clients across custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, stablecoins, and settlement solutions. Since 2013, BitGo has supported the development of secure infrastructure for the digital asset economy and provides services through multiple regulated entities.

Through this collaboration, UstarPay is working with BitGo to support custody and related infrastructure for UstarPay’s own digital asset payment services.

A key principle of the arrangement is that customers retain ownership and beneficial interest in their assets. Customer assets are not intended to be transferred to the custodian as proprietary assets, and the custody structure is designed to support clear separation of rights and responsibilities.

For UstarPay, this structure reflects a simple but essential belief:
“Customer assets should remain customer assets.”

What This Means for Users and Partners

Users and partners need confidence that supported digital assets are handled through a defined custody framework. BitGo been serving institutional clients for over a decade. As UstarPay continues to connect supported digital assets with card-based spending use cases, theunderlying custody and governance infrastructure becomes increasingly important. BitGo’s institutional infrastructure helps support the reliability required for these payment flows.

Compliance by Design, Not as an Afterthought

At UstarPay, compliance is not treated as the final step before launch. It is part of how products aredesigned, reviewed, and improved.

UstarPay’s engagement of BitGo for custody services reflects that approach.

Supporting the Next Stage of PayFi

UstarPay is built around the idea of “Real Crypto, Real Life.” That means making supported digital assets more usable in practical scenarios, including card based spending and real-world transactions. But for PayFi to move forward, usability must be matched by security, transparency, and compliance readiness.

The engagement of BitGo as the custodian for the digital assets holdings behind UstarPay’s digital asset payment supports this next stage by strengthening the infrastructure that sits beneath the user experience. For users, the goal is simple: a smoother and more reliable way to use supported digital assets in everyday payment scenarios. For partners, the goal is broader: a payment infrastructure model with clearer custody arrangements and customer fund security. For the industry, the message is clear: real-world crypto adoption requires more than access. It requires trust that can be operationalized.

Security Is Not a Claim. It Is a Design Choice.

Every payment experience depends on invisible infrastructure. Users may only see the card, the wallet, or the transaction confirmation, but what matters just as much is the structure behind it.

UstarPay’s engagement of BitGo is designed to make that structure stronger. By reinforcing a robust custody framework, across its digital asset payment flows, UstarPay is taking another step toward building payment infrastructure that is not only convenient, but also accountable.

In the future of PayFi, trust will not be defined by slogans. It will be defined by systems that can be tested, reviewed, and verified.

That is the direction UstarPay is building toward.

SINGAPORE – Media OutReach Newswire – 2 November 2026 – Global event ticketing platform Veritickets is making its debut at Tmall’s 11.11 Global Shopping Festival. Through its store on Tmall Global, China’s largest cross-border e-commerce platform, Veritickets is offering tickets to K-pop group BIGBANG’s upcoming November concert in Hong Kong and tour dates across 11 other markets.

Screenshot of Veritickets’ storefront on Tmall Global.

The debut comes as Tmall expands its digital lifestyle offerings this year, adding cross-border entertainment ticketing as a new category. Veritickets is among the platforms at the forefront of this emerging segment, bringing international event ticketing to Tmall’s growing ecosystem.

Beyond live music, Veritickets offers tickets to major international sporting events, including the League of Legends World Championship, UEFA Nations League matches, and fixtures across Europe’s five major domestic football leagues.

During the festival, Veritickets is partnering with Tmall Global on a series of promotional activities. These include a collaboration with its premium “88 VIP” membership program and TAOBAO Tickets, featuring daily prize draws with BIGBANG concert tickets among the prizes.

Since opening its Tmall Global store in June, Veritickets has grown its follower base from more than 800 to over 13,000 in just over four months, representing a 10-fold increase. Monthly gross merchandise value (GMV) has risen by 106% since June. In October, Veritickets’ Tmall Global store received a brand partnership award from Taobao and Tmall Group in recognition of its contribution to developing new business opportunities on the platform.

Veritickets has also launched a series of promotions this year aimed at making cross-border live entertainment more accessible. Earlier this year, it introduced free-ticket promotions for new users, followed in August by zero-service-fee promotions for selected events in Hong Kong and Macau. It also partnered with AlipayHK to offer special benefits related to BIGBANG. The initiatives have attracted participation and positive feedback from consumers across multiple markets.

Consumers buying tickets to overseas events have long faced challenges ranging from language barriers and complex payment processes to uncertainty over ticket authenticity and availability. Veritickets aims to address these issues through a single platform.

The platform brings together official and vetted ticket inventory, allowing users to compare options, prices, and real-time availability in one place. It provides multilingual interfaces and multi-currency payment options, including Visa, Mastercard, and JCB, and is an officially certified partner of Alipay, China’s leading digital payments and services platform.

To address concerns around ticket authenticity and availability, Veritickets offers a “100% verified tickets” guarantee. Under its consumer protection policy, customers may receive a full refund plus additional compensation of up to the ticket price if tickets are not delivered. The platform aims to issue confirmed, in-stock tickets within as little as 12 hours and also provides real-time transaction verification, personalized event recommendations, and dedicated customer support.

Initially focused on Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia, Veritickets plans to strengthen its presence across Asia-Pacific while expanding into additional international markets. It is also recruiting qualified ticketing agents globally. Applicants must hold valid operating licenses, have strong credit records and demonstrated service capabilities, and meet requirements for real-time ticket updates, instant transaction validation, and round-the-clock customer support.
