State Highway 51, Awatoto is currently closed following a crash.
The two-vehicle crash, involving a car and a motorbike just south of Waitangi Road was reported just after 4:30pm.
Initial indications are that there are serious injuries.
Diversions are in place via Waitangi Road and Farndon Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
