State Highway 2 between Colin White Road and Te Aute Trust Road, has the northbound lane blocked following a two-vehicle crash, reported about 11.20am.
One person has serious injuries, and ambulance services are on the scene.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area or delay travel as emergency services work at the scene.
