Police have charged a man in connection with a series of burglaries in central Auckland, following a public appeal for information.
Last month, Police released images as part of an investigation into burglaries at storage facilities in the Auckland City area between April and June.
Acting Auckland City Area Commander, Inspector Beth Houliston, says Police executed a search warrant at a North Shore address this morning.
“A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged with six counts of burglary.
“Police seized a large amount of stolen property at the address, and we are now working with victims to reunite them with their possessions.”
Police believe the man’s offending may span across the Auckland region, and an investigation remains ongoing.
Further charges are likely.
“I would like to acknowledge the public who assisted with enquiries and shared our appeal.
“This information helped Police identify and charge the man involved,” Inspector Houliston says.
A 42-year-old man will appear in Auckland District Court on 21 October.
