Greendale Road, near Clintons Road, Darfield, is closed after a serious two-vehicle crash.
Police were called to the scene about 5.55pm.
One person is reportedly in critical condition, while others have sustained moderate to minor injuries.
The road will remain closed while the Serious Crash Unit examine the scene.
Motorists should avoid the area.
