Tararua Police are seeking information as they investigate an incident in Dannevirke on Sunday 21 June.
The incident was an alleged assault at the intersection of Laws Road and Top Grass Road about 8.50pm.
Senior Sergeant Williamson, Tararua Police, says they are interested in a group of vehicles that may have been engaging in anti-social road user activity that night.
“We are interested to hear from anyone who might have information or footage.”
As part of the investigation Police have identified some vehicles of interest and they are keen to hear from anyone who has information that could assist the investigation.
“Even if you’re unsure, we encourage you to come forward so the matter can be assessed,” says Senior Sergeant Williamson.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Police on 105 quoting file number 260622/3555.
In addition, Police ask anyone who witnesses anti-social road user behaviour not to confront those involved but to call 111 immediately.
“If it is safe to do so, capturing images or video may assist Police.”
