Kumara Junction Highway (State Highway 6) is down to one lane following a serious crash this evening.
The crash, involving two cars, occurred between Chesterfield Road and Stafford Road and was reported to Police at 5.30pm.
One person sustained critical injuries and one person has minor to moderate injuries. Both have been transported to hospital.
The Serious Crash Unit will be examining the crash scene and the road is expected to be down to one lane for some time tonight.
