Police have arrested three men after a clandestine lab was located at an address in Napier today.
Eastern District Organised Crime Unit, with the assistance from other specialist staff, executed a warrant at an address on Phillips Street in Awatoto, Napier, as part of an operation targeting the manufacturing of methamphetamine.
During the search, Police located an operational clan lab and seized amounts of methamphetamine, cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and several firearms including a loaded .22 rifle.
Three men, aged between 39 and 42, were arrested and are facing a range of charges including breach of bail, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of cannabis.
They are due to appear before the Hasting District Court tomorrow [24 June] and Police are not ruling out further charges.
Police are committed to disrupting and dismantling organised criminal offending and drug production; and we will continue to work hard to hold offenders to account.
