Attribute to Taupō Area Investigations Manager, Detective Senior Sergeant Ryan Yardley:
Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman at a Tokoroa address overnight.
Police were called just before midnight to an address on Hinau Street.
Emergency services responded, but sadly she was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Cordons have been put in place in the immediate area, and a scene guard remains at the property.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish what exactly has occurred.
There will be a Police presence in the area as we continue our enquiries, however there are no concerns for public safety.
