The September Climate Summary Highlights:
– Warm and dry for the north and east of the country
– More westerly airflows than normal over most of Aotearoa New Zealand (except for the northern North Island)
– Abundant precipitation for southern and western parts of the South Island
– Hydro lake levels increased considerably during September
– Auckland observed its sunniest September since records began in 1963.
