Pioneering Australian proptech Enviz, is once again redefining how unbuilt properties are presented, experienced, and marketed, by partnering with G.J. Gardner Homes New Zealand.
G.J. Gardner Homes New Zealand has brought their home catalogue online with Enviz, giving their customers the opportunity to virtually experience a home’s design and layout from anywhere at any time. These virtual experiences complement the selection of homes available for viewing in display villages and also allows GJ NZ to feature home designs which may not yet be on display.
“Having many of our concept plans available as virtual experiences on the GJ NZ app provides our customers with the ability to walk through the designs in real-life scale,” said Ellie Porteous, Managing Director of G.J. Gardner Homes New Zealand. “Customers can get a feel for the space, which they can’t get from simply looking at a 2D drawing. This allows them to better understand the layout and flow of the design and envision what it would be like as their new home.”
Beyond a unique experience in the New Zealand housing market, the new offer gives GJ’s customers more flexibility to explore their options in their own time to find the design that is the right fit for them. “Customers can show designs to friends and family, to get their insight or showcase the design of their future home,” said Porteous. “Further, allowing consumers to visualise the design prior to construction commencing also minimises any concerns in the initial stages of the house-building process.”
“We expect the use of virtual experiences and augmented reality tools to continue to grow in future in the housing industry, as these tools offer consumers and salespeople an incredibly realistic and efficient means of visualising house designs,” said Michael Shaw, Enviz’s CEO and Co-Founder. “Having a large range of house designs easily accessible online, allows G.J. Gardner New Zealand’s customers to explore as many options as they desire and find the home of their dreams in a time-efficient manner.”
Despite initial concerns about the virtual experiences lacking realistic details, Porteous notes the quality of the virtual experiences and the 1:1 scale provides users with a real sense of walking through a home. “Customer experience is the driving motivation behind the creation of our virtual experiences with Enviz and their technology has made it easy for people of all ages and skillsets to use these tools,” said Porteous. “The experiences will also be an incredibly useful tool in helping our salespeople to become better-acquainted with many of our concept designs.”
Complementing the GJ NZ App, the company’s virtual experiences will also be available on New Zealand’s largest real estate portal TradeMe.co.nz, enabling consumers to virtually explore the design of the house that is listed.
