Asteron Life has appointed Kathie Tutty to the role of Chief Underwriter for Asteron Life.
Executive General Manager Life Grant Willis says Kathie brings a wealth of experience and technical capability to the role, having been in Senior Underwriting and Underwriting Management roles for AIA, Partners Life and contributed significantly to the development of the underwriting function at Asteron Life where she is currently Underwriting Manager and Principal Underwriter.
‘Kathie’s promotion to the role of Chief Underwriter and member of the Life Leadership team recognises her passion and ambition for our business, and her desire to take our underwriting performance and strategy to the next level,’ Willis says.
Willis says Asteron is entering an exciting period as it continues to grow with the support of Resolution Life Australasia and in line with the proposed sale announced recently.
‘I know our advisers and distribution partners will value Kathie’s deep knowledge of our business as well as her breadth of experience in the industry. We look forward to Kathie stepping into this role at this critical time and helping shape our new business growth in the future,’ Willis says.
Kathie’s promotion follows her almost three-decade career in underwriting life insurance across various industry players. She is a valued member of the current team in her role as Underwriting Manager and Principal Underwriter known for her unrelenting customer focus.
‘Throughout my career I have always had a passion for finding the best customer outcomes and I am eager and excited to collaborate with such a talented team and contribute to Asteron Life’s continued success and growth in the industry,’ Tutty says.
Tutty will officially move into the role from 31 May 2024.
