Contractors are currently working to clear a slip partially blocking State Highway 2, Remutaka Hill.

The slip, which has blocked the southbound lane of the highway near Featherston, was reported shortly after 9 o’clock this morning.

The highway is open, and work is underway to clear the slip. However, the site is subject to stop/go traffic management.

Drivers must take extra care and expect short delays when travelling through the area.

Wairarapa-based fans heading to FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023™ game between USA and The Netherlands should allow extra time for their journey.
