Contractors have delayed the start to overnight roadworks in Bayview, north of Napier.
Work to reseal the road was due to be carried out from Monday 23 January, overnight to minimise disruption for road users travelling through the area.
“Unfortunately our contractor has had to delay the work as a result of a resourcing shortage. The work will still go ahead and while exact timing is still to be confirmed, we’re expecting it to begin before the end of next month,” says Waka Kotahi’s Hawke’s Bay Journey Manager Andre Taylor.
“We realise this will have an impact on some people’s plans and we’re grateful for their understanding. We have worked hard to maintain the schedule, but unfortunately the delay is inevitable.
“We will advise residents and road users in plenty of time of the new schedule when confirmed.”
