Contractors will be out working to reseal a stetch of road in Bayview, north of Napier, overnight next week.
Work will be carried out overnight from Monday 23 January to minimise disruption for road users travelling through the area.
The chip resurfacing work is expected to take five nights and contractors will be working between 6pm and 6am.
While the work is taking place, a 30 km/h temporary speed limit will be in place and there will be stop/go signs as well.
In addition, at times contractors will use stop/stop signs, meaning both north and southbound lanes will be closed to traffic for a time.
Motorists can expect delays of between 10-15 minutes.
Road users are advised to be prepared for traffic delays as there is no practical detour route available and to take care when travelling through the work site.
Onsite traffic management contractors will ensure access for residents is maintained.
During the day, the stretch of road will be open to both lanes but under a temporary 30 km/h speed limit.
We acknowledge the potential for disruption and delay and we want to thank all road users and residents for their patience while we carry out this important work.
