This page summarises methodology changes we will introduce in Value of building work put in place: September 2022 quarter.
These statistics estimate the value and volume of work put in place on building projects in New Zealand. They include a modelled and surveyed component. We are reducing the number of building projects surveyed to ensure the sustainability of the survey.
From now on, value of building work statistics will be provisional for three quarters from when they were first published. For example, statistics for the March 2022 quarter will remain provisional until we publish statistics for the December 2022 quarter. During this time, they may be updated to reflect improved survey information and model adjustments.
