Waka Kotahi has re-opened SH35 between Gisborne and Te Puia Springs, but motorists are advised to take extra care when driving in the area with conditions still affected by yesterday’s heavy rain in the region.

SH35 remains closed between Te Puia Springs and Ruatoria due to weather related slips.

Waka Kotahi is advising people to avoid any non-essential travel in the area.
