Overnight sewer repair works on SH35 Wainui Rd

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency us advising motorists that temporary speed restrictions will be in place on State Highway 35 Wainui Road from 6pm Wednesday 9 November to 8am the Thursdauy 10 November, to allow Gisborne District Council to undertake sewer repair work.

As the work progresses, the traffic management set-up will reduce through the night to allow traffic to move more freely.

A 30km/h temporary speed limit will be in place until the work is complete.

The worksite is on Wainui Road and includes the manhole in the front of the Mobil Station and the manhole on the intersection of Hirini Street and Wainui Road. At what can be a busy intersection, with traffic travelling to and from the Port. People are asked to take extra care and follow the sign-posted detours.
