Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises the Te Puke Highway, near Pah Road, will be reduced to one lane on Tuesday 9 August, and on Wednesday 10 and Thursday 11 August the road shoulder will be closed.
This is to allow the contractor to prepare the site so it can be fully reopened, following completion of the Kaituna Riverbank stabilisation.
Tuesday 9 August – Stop/go traffic management while the contractor removes temporary barriers and lays new line marking on the road.
Wednesday 10 and Thursday 12 August – Shoulder closure while the berm is reinstated outside the Marae.
We appreciate the impact the lane closure and stop/go will have to people using the road. To minimise the delay, manual stop/go will be in place so the team can actively monitor traffic.
People are asked to take extra care when travelling through the site by following the temporary 30km/h speed limit, traffic management and directions from staff.
Waka Kotahi thanks motorists for their patience while we complete final stabilisation works beside the Kaituna River.
