World-leading trap maker Goodnature has taken home the supreme award at this year’s 2022 ExportNZ ASB Wellington Export Awards.
Claiming both the ASB Exporter of the Year Award and the CentrePort Best Established Business Award, Goodnature were set apart by their drive and passion to disrupt the pest control industry and investment in cutting-edge R&D.
“Blending environmental protection with Kiwi Innovation, Goodnature represents the very best of Wellington business,” says Simon Arcus, Chief Executive of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, which delivers ExportNZ locally.
Arcus praised the quality of this year’s entrants. “Between a supply chain crunch, lockdowns and a challenging global environment, the past two years have been as hard as they get for exporters. Every one of this year’s finalists deserves their place on the stage. Their hard work has kept our economy afloat through the pandemic.

The judges were Chair of Business Central Vaughan Renner, NZTE Head of Food & Beverage and Consumer Goods, Fiona Acheson, and ASB International Trade Consultant, Paul Gestro.
Beverage company Native Sparkling won the Southeast-Asia CAPE Best Emerging Business Award for their healthy alternative to beer and sugary drinks.
Jewellery business Village Goldsmiths’ innovation, Floeting Diamond, won the WellingtonNZ Excellence in Innovation Award, for one of the biggest innovations to the jewellery industry in the past 100 years.
Surfacing manufacturer Matta Products claimed the GoZero Excellence in Sustainability Award, for their work to divert plastics and rubber from landfill.
Wainui-based healthy snack producer Tom & Luke’s claimed the Wellington School of Business and Government Judge’s Choice Award.
