An independent panel has approved a new residential development and associated infrastructure at Rotokauri North, Hamilton.
It includes 285 residential allotments as well as land set aside for further development.
Rotokauri North Holdings Limited applied for resource consents under the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020.
The Rotokauri North Stage 1 development will include earthworks, and the construction of water and roading infrastructure.
The expert consenting panel granted resource consent with conditions, outlined in its decision.
The decision comes 61 working days after the application was lodged with the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).
The EPA is not involved in the decision-making – we provide advice and administrative support for the panel convener, Judge Laurie Newhook, and the expert consenting panels he appoints.
