An expert fast-track consenting panel has approved a residential development in Rangiora, Canterbury.
Bellgrove Rangiora Limited has been granted resource consent, with conditions, for the subdivision of a 21-hectare block of land on the outskirts of Rangiora, known as the Bellgrove North site.
The development includes about 196 residential lots, a small commercial centre, stormwater and esplanade reserves. A heritage homestead will be retained.
The decision comes 81 working days after the application was lodged with the EPA.
The EPA is not involved in the decision-making but provides support for the panel convener, Judge Laurie Newhook, and the expert panel he appoints.
