Ōtautahi – Whittaker’s chocolate, New Zealand’s most trusted brand for the 11th consecutive year, has introduced two limited edition flavours.

They are Relax and Refresh, featuring botanical extracts infused into Whittaker’s classic creamy milk chocolate.

The innovative flavours have been designed to capture the feelings of relaxation and rejuvenation in an indulgent treat.

Whittaker’s co-chief operating officer Holly Whittaker says they look forward to chocolate lovers experiencing the delicious flavours when they treat themselves to a bit of R&R.

The new flavours have been named after the feelings they capture. Refresh takes Whittaker’s famous 33 percent cocoa creamy milk chocolate and infuses it with rejuvenating peppermint and lavender.

Relax uses the same base mixed with the calming flavours of passionfruit and chamomile. They are the first time Whittaker’s has used botanical flavours into its chocolate.

To celebrate the launch of the delicious Limited Edition flavours, chocolate lovers will be able to enter a draw for a share of 10,000 Airpoints for domestic travel, so that they can take time out for R&R anywhere in New Zealand.

All Whittaker’s chocolate are at its factory in Porirua. They are also rainforest alliance certified, as is the entire range of 116 products which are crafted with Ghanaian cocoa beans.

More than 1800 New Zealanders were asked last month to select three of their most trusted brands for each category. Categories included banks, cars, optometrists, tyres, used vehicle dealerships, dog food, haircare, supermarkets, lawnmowers and vegetarian foods.

Whittaker’s came top overall, followed by St John NZ, Mitre 10, Tip Top, Mainland, Samsung, Anchor, Resene, Toyota and Dettol.
