Everything is Good is an online exhibition comprising of 38 works by 27 Māpura artists.

Māpura Studios, outside of Covid lockdown restrictions, has a busy exhibition calendar to expose and promote our artists and their work to the public.

Just as lockdown hasn’t stopped our classes, it hasn’t stopped our support of our artists either.

Out of necessity, and a sense of let’s just do this, both classes and exhibitions are online at present, and this is the first online exhibition hosted by us, on our website.

Everything is Good is an exhibition primarily of paintings and drawings.

There are a couple of exceptions: Lollies on a Sprinkler by Craig Murray is a mixed media work that incorporates his favourite collage element – maps, and Yung Chen’s Circle is a monoprint.

There is no consistent theme to this show, rather an overriding sense of fun, colour, and the joy of creating.

As you browse the works, you’ll see landscape, figurative, floral and abstract artworks, as well as cats.

The title, Everything is Good, is a phrase often used by Māpura artist John Puhara, and everything in this show is good.

While our artists continue to create, and we can show you what they’ve been doing inside and outside of the studio, well, that’s good too.

All art works are for sale, enquiries to alex@mapurastudios.org.nz

Visit our Mapura shop site to see the exhibition.
