A unique art and food experience, generously hosted by TV celebrity, chef and owners Mike & Bee van de Elzen, at their stunning cooking school, Good From Scratch.

Artworks will be set in their architecturally designed building as well as around their beautiful 13 acre rural property.

Local artists Marlon Hart, Karuna and Todd Douglas, Mette Hay and Desre Westhead will be using the interior of the architecturally designed cooking/dining complex as a surrogate “open studio” and will be there to engage with visitors.

This year, the outdoor sculpture area has been extended and includes well known artists Jeff Thomson, Cherise Thomson, and Oriah Rapley, Representative/taster works from all Open Studio artists will also be on display.

Media includes sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, painting, embroidery, mixed media and photography.

Founders and owners of Good From Scratch, Mike and Belinda Van de Elzen will offer food prepared onsite with many ingredients picked and gathered from their fabulous spray free gardens, along with a selection of local wines, craft beers and homemade sodas.

Only 30 minutes from the CBD, come eat, drink and enjoy the rural views over the sweeping Muriwai valley, while experiencing the art inspired by the energy of this area.
