An expert consenting panel has today declined to grant fast-track consent for The Vines subdivision in Richmond, south of Nelson.
The application was referred to the panel for resource consents to be considered under the COVID-19 Recovery (Fast-track Consenting) Act 2020.
In its decision to decline resource consent, the panel has given several reasons – including that a residential project of this scale is unsuitable or not sufficiently justified on highly productive land zoned by the Tasman District Council as rural.
The EPA is not involved in the decision-making – we provide advice and administrative support for the Panel Convener, Judge Newhook, and the expert consenting panels he appoints.
