Kia ora koutou,

This afternoon the Government announced that New Zealand, excluding Auckland, will move to Alert Level 2 from 11:59pm Tuesday 7 September. Auckland will remain in level 4 till at least 11:59pm Tuesday 14 September and will be reviewed on Monday 13 September. Click here for the latest updates.

Auckland Campus remains closed until further notice and teaching continues online.

Hawke’s Bay and Tairāwhiti Campuses and Regional Learning Centres will reopen for students on Thursday 9 September. Online teaching will continue, where possible until then. Your Programme Co-ordinator will be in contact with you to confirm when face to face classes will resume for your programme.

  • You are strongly recommended to bring a face covering when you return to campus. Click for recommendations on how to use a mask safely.
  • Alert level 2 control measures will be in place such as distancing tape, sanitiser and restricting numbers where required. Cleaning efforts will be increased which includes high touch points.
  • You must record your movements through the NZ COVID Tracer app, or the COVID-19 registers.

Please do not come to EIT if you are sick. You will need to wash your hands, and cough into your elbow. We strongly encourage all students to book their vaccine. Regularly check locations of interest. Call Healthline on 0800 358 5453 for advice.
