Kaipātiki Local Board invites you to celebrate the reopening of several tracks in Eskdale Reserve where Auckland Council has invested in works to stop the spread of kauri dieback disease through our open spaces.
Kaipātiki Project on a guided walk to reconnect with the Eskdale ngahere and greet our old friends, that have been off limits for such a long time.
Find out how together, we can restore the native eco-system in 74 hectares of this local native bush.
Refreshments available but please bring your drink bottle. Wear gumboots and make sure they are clean. Dress warm and to keep dry.
These upgrades are funded through the council’s Natural Environment Targeted Rate and the Kaipātiki Local Board asset renewal work programme.
This is a zero-waste event, please take any leftovers with you.
If wet, the event will be held on Sunday 15 August.
