This August, the Bruce Mason Centre turns 25-years young, and what better way to celebrate than with four exciting birthday events.

On Sunday 8 August we have a whole day of free entertainment planned with Aotearoa’s leading circus company, The Dust Palace’s brand-new family show The Ice Cream is Melting!, part of Auckland Live’s Pick & Mix programme.

This is an epic ice cream survival adventure told through the twists, turns and crazy contortions of circus arts.

Then, in the afternoon, North Shore dance groups and schools come together to put on an Auckland Dance Schools’ Showcase – chock-a-block with toe-tapping, head-spinning, leaping, laughing dance performances of all kinds.

There are also plenty more opportunities to celebrate the milestone, including the inaugural North Shore season of festival favourite Te Pō by Nightsong and The Auckland Principal Brass Quintet’s celebratory set performed in the 25th birthday edition of the monthly Auckland Live Morning Melodies concert series.

Put the dates in your diaries, and make a day of it celebrating a very special milestone at Takapuna’s much-loved community theatre space.
