Former consumer network member elected president of World Blind Union

Martine Abel-Williamson has been elected as the new president of World Blind Union. Martine was a valued member of various consumer advisory groups at the Health Quality & Safety Commission. The Commission extends congratulations to Martine for this well-deserved achievement.

‘During her time as a member of the Commission’s consumer network, Martine generously shared her expertise and lived experience to strengthen the responsiveness and consumer focus of our work,’ says Chris Walsh, director of the Commission’s partners in care team.
