Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency advises of night time closures on the State Highway 2 Tauranga Eastern Link Toll Road (TEL) starting next Sunday 27 June.
Work will take place between 7pm and 6am on the nights of Sunday 27 and Monday 28 June, to undertake maintenance on the tolling gantry structure.
The work will result in closures between the SH2 Domain Road interchange and SH33/SH2 Paengaroa roundabout.
From 7pm Sunday 27 June until 6am Monday 28 June
- Eastbound lanes will be closed from Domain Road interchange (towards Whakatāne/Rotorua). A signposted detour via the Te Puke Highway will be in place.
- Westbound lanes will be open (towards Tauranga). At the toll gantry structure, a short lane closure and temporary speed limit will be in place, before returning to two open lanes.
From 7pm Monday 28 June until 6am Tuesday 29 June
- Westbound lanes will be closed from the SH33/SH2 Paengaroa roundabout (towards Tauranga). A signposted detour via the Te Puke Highway will be in place.
- Eastbound lanes will be open (towards Whakatāne/Rotorua). At the toll gantry structure, a short lane closure and temporary speed limit will be in place, before returning to two open lanes.
The TEL Toll Road will be open and operating as normal on the morning of Tuesday 29 June at 6am.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their travel.
