Issue of 15 May 2026 Nominal Bond Announced

The Treasury has today announced that NZ$3.5 billion of nominal 15 May 2026 New Zealand Government Bonds have been issued via syndication.

The bonds, which carry a coupon of 0.50%, were issued at a spread of 16 basis points over the 15 April 2025 nominal bond, at a yield to maturity of 0.745%. Total book size, within the initial pricing guidance range of 14 to 18 basis points, exceeded NZ$7.5 billion.

Settlement will occur on 10 February 2021 and there will be no further issuance of the new bond prior to May 2021.
