Submissions for the Rangatahi mō Papatūānuku video competition are open from today! There’s still plenty of time to pick up a camera or phone and get creative as submissions are open until March 15th 2021...
We’re asking rangatahi (aged 16-25) to share your ideas about how to to ensure Papatūānuku thrives by creating a short factual video (up to two minutes) showing your unique vision and perspective.
Have a think about these questions:
• What do you see?
• What do you wish you could have seen?
• What do you want to see in the future?
The competition is open to your interpretation; your ideas, your vision. You don’t need to be an expert filmmaker, support is available, but we hope you’ll join in the kaitiaki/guardianship conversation and be able to share your ideas with whanau, friends and people of Aotearoa.
WIN Prizes!
The six categories in which you can win are: Creative content; Te reo Māori; Memory; Funny; Ambassador for protection of the rohe; and Rangatahi presenter choice. Each category winner will receive $1000 and each category runner up will receive $500!
