Waka Kotahi advises resealing work across several sites on State Highway 30 in Rotorua is scheduled to take place next week, starting this Sunday 13 December 2020.
The work is being completed overnight to reduce the impact on traffic, however minor delays are expected as a result of the work.
Motorists are asked to take extra care when travelling through the work sites to ensure their own safety, that of other road users, and the road workers.
- On Sunday 13 December, Monday 14 December and Tuesday 15 December contractors will be resealing several sites on SH30/Te Ngae Road, between Tennyson Drive and Robinson Avenue.
- On Wednesday 16 December contractors will be resealing in Tikitere, just east of the SH30/State Highway 33 intersection.
- On Thursday 17 December and Friday 18 December contractors will be resealing various sites on Sala Street, in conjunction with the resurfacing planned for the SH30/Sala Street intersection.
Contractors will be on site between 7pm and 6am each night. During the works Stop/Go traffic management will be in place, with a 30km/h temporary speed limit.
The sites will then open under a 50km/h temporary speed limit for the following couple of days.
This work is part of the Waka Kotahi spring/summer road maintenance programme, which will see repairs and reseals on state highways across the Bay of Plenty to ensure the safety and resilience of the state highway network.
