Auckland Council will reopen its city centre venues on Saturday 14 November and people are reminded to follow government health advice at all times.

The Auckland Central City Library and Tepid Baths were closed on Friday 13 November following government advice to limit activity in the city.

The council offices at Albert Street, Graham Street and Bledisloe House, the Waitematā Local Board office, and Bledisloe House and Graham Street service centres will open as usual on Monday 16 November.

Visitors to any Auckland Council buildings should check in using the NZ COVID Tracer app by scanning the QR codes at our venues, checking in manually or keeping a record of their visit.

Please follow all government health advice:

  • Wear a mask or face covering on all forms of public transport and in enclosed public spaces where you are not able to physically distance from other people.
  • If you are sick, stay home and seek advice from your doctor or Healthline about getting tested and get tested if you’re asked to.
  • Do not go to any gatherings or public events if you have COVID-19 symptoms or if you need to be in isolation for any reason.
  • If you are going to an event, wear a mask in closed spaces and if you take public transport to get there. Scan the QR code when you arrive.
  • Maintain good hygiene – wash your hands frequently and thoroughly.

Testing sites

A full list of testing sites in Auckland, including pop-up testing in the city centre, is available on the Auckland Regional Public Health Service website.

Anyone in the Auckland area, and throughout New Zealand, who has cold or flu symptoms should get a test and stay at home until they have a negative test result.

The NZ COVID Tracer app also shows testing locations. Under the ‘View resources’ button on the app, click the ‘Find a testing location’ link to bring up a list of testing centres.
