PSNA supporters will be picketing a farewell event for the Israeli ambassador in Christchurch this evening.

The protest is against Dr Gerberg and his support for the Israeli government’s brutal, racist policies against Palestinians.

20% of Israeli citizens are Palestinian Israelis who suffer discrimination under 65 racist laws which mean they are second class citizens. As Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu says “Israel is not a state for all its citizens”. In other words, it is an apartheid state.

Instead of condemning these racist laws Dr Gerberg has been a staunch defender of the Israeli government’s brutal, racist policies towards Palestinians.

For example, every day Israel steals more Palestinian land – the latest was the Israeli army’s destruction of the Palestinian village of Khirbet Humsa, done under cover of the US elections.

Details of the protest are:

Thursday, 12 November, 7.30pm
Riccarton Centre, 199 Clarence St, Riccarton, Christchurch.
